History

Grand Rapids is a great village to come visit, nestled along the Maumee River in Wood County, Ohio. Although the town is very small with a population of around 1,000 residents, the history and roots of the town are represented in the friendly atmosphere. The town is the home of the world-renowned glass sculptor, Dominic Labino who is one of the most knowledgeable and innovative technicians in the field of glass. The Ohio and Erie Canal was one of the most important canals during the mid-nineteenth century and can easily be viewed today in Grand Rapids.
